Introducing our Non-Profit Initiative
The downtown is very much the heart of the community – it always has been. And Main Street has become the hub for things like fundraisers, Project Graduation, proms, 5Ks, church events, farmer’s market and church events. The Non-Profit Initiative is just Main Street continuing to be that – the place where our community comes together.
The Non-Profit Initiative is an expression of cooperation: we want to provide support for your fundraising events. We are providing free use of the Pocket Park and a reduced rate for The Loft, as well as promotion support.
The popular downtown Pocket Park, typically a fee-leased space, will be available at no cost to local charitable organizations for the purpose of hosting one of their established annual events. And The Loft, a 5,000 square foot indoor venue on the 3rd floor of the historic Barnett Building is available to non-profits at half the usual lease cost.
We know fundraising is a challenge and every dollar counts, so the intent is to help our fellow organizations. And Main Street makes sense as a prime choice for a fundraiser because you’re getting the benefit of foot traffic and proximity to dining and shopping to help round out an event.
